Happy St. Patrick’s Day to all those celebrating this particular holiday. I mean, I don’t since I’m of Scottish descent. Sue me, but I can’t suspend my disbelief. I also know there’s a difference, and I wouldn’t want to water down or confuse either brand.
Recently, in an semi-anonymous chat room, I got accused of being racist against the British for using the phrase “The British are coming!” Nevermind that “British” is not a race. The last name of the person who made the accusation had a Scottish last name. My last name is Scottish. I was pretty taken back by the exchange. That definitely reeked of a FMyLife moment.
Just remember “if it’s not Scottish, it’s crap,” but I s’pose I could be a bigger man and give the Irish at least one day a year. ;-)
